The academy currently offers a one-year professional diploma program (non-academic) with (9) training courses in the field of cinematic arts. The training is conducted through a blended training system.
Diploma Objectives:
- Prepare professional specialists in the field of cinematic and television content production.
- Prepare specialists to work on Arab television stations.
- Prepare specialists to work on Arab satellite channels.
- Rehabilitate a large number of individuals working in the cinema industry who have not received any education in the art of cinema.
- Rehabilitate a large number of individuals working in the television industry who have not received any education in the art of television.
- Provide a flexible educational opportunity for cinema and television enthusiasts whose life and work conditions prevent them from studying this specialization.
- Utilize the practical and scientific experiences of professionals in the artistic field and faculty members by involving them in the theoretical and practical teaching of all diploma courses.
Admission Policy:
Admission to the program is based on a personal interview conducted by a group of academics and professionals in the field. It considers preferential criteria for comparing applicants based on their technical and technological experiences in the cinema and television industry, in addition to any additional preference criteria set by the institute to achieve its goals of graduating professional specialists ready for the job market.
Study System:
The diploma program employs a blended learning system, combining online training through the electronic platform and periodic virtual sessions with the course instructor. Modern teaching techniques such as simulation, virtual reality, and augmented reality are employed, along with interactive multidimensional activities utilizing artificial intelligence. Face-to-face training is also provided within actual labs, studios, and companies in the artistic field under the supervision of specialized experts. This is followed by on-the-job training directly in the field of work.
The diploma consists of specialized courses covering areas such as artificial intelligence applications in cinema, screenplay, directing, cinematography, editing, sound, production, digital effects, cinema history, and graduation project. The courses are taught throughout the academic year, and for a student to graduate and obtain the professional diploma in cinematic arts, they must successfully pass the exams with a score of not less than (60%) in both the theoretical and practical parts, as well as the project.
The diploma provides opportunities for practical training in production companies, studios, and labs, which aim to employ talented individuals in the field. This allows students to work in one of these artistic institutions immediately after graduation, based on memoranda of understanding between the academy and these institutions.
